Lawrence Rentz
President of Rotex Global
Lawrence became President of Rotex Global in January of 2020, becoming only the 10th president in Rotex’s 175 years as a company. Lawrence brings 26 years of proven ability to drive business growth in multiple industries such as power generation, machine tool, automotive and plastics processing equipment. Most recently, Lawrence was the VP/GM for Maag Americas and CEO of Gala Industries as an executive leader within the Dover Corporation. Prior roles included VP of Engineering for Warn Industries, VP of Engineering and Quality for Climax Portable Machine Tools and Director of Aftermarket Steam Turbine Engineering at General Electric where he spent the first 12 years of his career. Lawrence holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, an MBA from the University of Maine and is a certified Master Black Belt in Six Sigma with General Electric. His passions include leading breakthroughs in innovation (holding 7 patents and serving for six years as a governor appointed member of the Oregon Innovation Council) and actively supporting future leaders in achieving their career aspirations.
Rob Scheper
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Rob became Vice President of Global Machine Sales and Marketing in July of 2012. He has been with Rotex since 1998 and has held key roles in capital sales, aftermarket sales and product development. He earned his B.S. in engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1992 and his M.B.A. in finance and marketing from the University of Cincinnati in 2002. Rob was a four-year starter for the University of Cincinnati men’s soccer team. He enjoys watching his three children play high school, college and club soccer. He gives back to the sport by coaching youth soccer in his free time; he also likes to play basketball and golf.
Dan Frye
VP of Engineering, Quality, and HOM.
Dan became Vice President of Lean, Innovation, and Engineering in May of 2022. Dan has over 30 years of developing and implementing continuous improvement systems, along with engineering and leadership experience. He has a proven track record of driving results through operational and business improvements. Before joining Rotex Global, he held a variety of Engineering and Operations leadership roles for Honda of America, Hillrom, Simpler Consulting-an IBM Company, and GE Aviation. Dan holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Dan and his wife LouAnn reside in Northern Kentucky. They have five grown children and enjoy spoiling their six grandchildren. They love the annual tradition of the entire family going on a beach vacation.
Nick Kaiser
Senior Director of Global Operations
Nick joined Rotex in April of 2023, where he has responsibility for the Global Operations and Supply Chain team. Nick has a passion for continuous improvement and comes from Hillenbrand and Batesville Casket Company where he spent the previous 20 years in a wide variety of Engineering and Operations leadership roles. Nick holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. Nick and his wife Karen reside in Indiana and have three young children. When he is not busy with his children’s activities, Nick enjoys skiing, running and auto racing.
Dagny Chang
Director of Global Aftermarket Sales & Service
Dagny Chang became Director of Global Aftermarket Parts and Service in January 2023. She has been with Rotex since 2012 and held a variety of roles in finance, capital sales, marketing, and aftermarket sales. She earned her B.A. in Elected Studies from Thomas More University. Dagny and her husband reside in Indiana with their daughter and dog, Pippen. Dagny enjoys time attempting to be a golfer and watching her favorite college basketball team, the Kentucky Wildcats, pursue their ninth title.
Olivier Thouvard
Director of Business Development
Olivier became Director of Business Development for Rotex Global in January 2023. He has been with Rotex since 1997 when he joined the company as Sales Manager for France. He has held key roles in managing the Rotex Europe operations located in Belgium and the UK as Sales Director and as a member of the management team. He earned his mechanical engineering degree at Grenoble University and his Sales and Marketing Diploma at Montpellier University, both located in France. Olivier lives with his wife, Laurence, and their three children in the French Alps. In his free time, Olivier enjoys paragliding and mountain hiking. He is also a ski instructor at his local club where he helps train disabled teenagers and adults for ski competitions.
Anil Kotian
Director of Information Technology
Anil became the Director of Information Technology in December of 2012. He joined Rotex in August 1998 as a programmer/analyst for the Y2K project. With a background in engineering and information systems, Anil has more than 25 years of experience in the design and development of ERP/CRM solutions in the Oracle and Microsoft systems. Anil holds a B.S. in metallurgical engineering from IIT, Mumbai and has earned certifications in Oracle & PowerBuilder systems. Before joining Rotex, he worked at the software developer Retek, Inc on their retail warehousing system which is now a part of the Oracle Retail Enterprise suite. Anil is passionate about cricket and soccer and while at the University of Cincinnati he founded and captained the UC Cricket Club to multiple championships in the mid-west cricket leagues. He also coached all three of his sons in soccer and continues to watch them play varsity sports. Anil and his wife Manisha reside in Cincinnati and are actively involved in the Aruna Project, an organization that rehabilitates victims of human trafficking.
Rachel Bellas
Senior Director of Global Human Resources
Rachel joined Rotex as the Sr. Director of Global Human Resources in 2023. In her role, Rachel leads the HR function for all Rotex sites, setting and implementing talent strategy for our most important asset, our people. Prior to joining Rotex, Rachel held a variety of HR leadership roles for Amazon Web Services, Amazon emerging businesses, and IBM. She earned her Master’s in Human Resources and Labor Relations from The Ohio State University. After relocating to Cincinnati from Columbus in late 2020, Rachel resides in the Cincinnati metro area with her family.
